An Account Manager is meant to help keep your project on track in conjunction with the Project Management team. While a Project Manager might help keep track of the progress of a development team, an Account Manager is your trusted technology advisor throughout the entire process. Whether it’s clarification, optimization, or even just someone to lend an ear, your Account Manager’s main focus is to make sure your project is a success, and that you’re happy throughout the process! Here are 10 reasons you need an Account Manager:

1. Someone to Listen

First and foremost, your Account Manager is there to listen and understand the project you are visualizing and hoping to bring into reality. Their goal is to take your vision and ensure that when the project is done, that you are left satisfied and ready for implementation.

2. Someone to keep you organized

One of the key strengths of an Account Manager is possessing the ability to keep track of deadlines, milestones, meeting notes, expectations, and scope of a project. In order to do this, the Account Manager will need to execute tasks while keeping you, and themselves, incredibly organized in the process.

In an ideal world, tasks always get done on time, deliverables are completed early with enough time to edit, and milestones are met ahead of time. It’s easy to get caught up in the bulk of the project work.
